Going from strength to strength since 1977.

Rathcoole  Football Club was established in 1977 to cater for and supply soccer football for the boys and girls of Rathcoole, Saggart and the surrounding areas. We are very much part of the fabric of the local community.

Success has been experienced over the years with teams playing in the South Dublin Football League (SDFL) and Dublin District Schoolboys League (DDSL) and Senior Teams in the Leinster Senior League (LSL).

We have been fortunate enough over the years to have been able to secure our own grounds at Frank Cox Park, and we can be easily found signposted off the main street adjacent to the Credit Union and the entrance to Forest Hills.

In early 2019, with the help of State funding via the Sports Capital Grant scheme, we replaced our main sand based grass pitch with a state of the art 3g all-weather surface to compliment our existing facilities which incorporate the clubhouse with dressing rooms, showers, coffee shop, two all-weather seven aside pitches, two full size grass pitches,  small sized pitches and floodlit training areas and car parking.

Our facilities are also used by local Rathcoole & Saggart schools for football and sports days, while the South Dublin Football League and Dublin District Schoolboys League  have held their Cup Finals in Rathcoole in recent years.

We are home to United Warriors, a special needs team, who play and train in our club, with Special Olympics Ireland in turn holding annual field day and provincial games in Rathcoole.

Superfit Ireland have their state of the art gym on site.

On the playing front, we provide football for the very young to Youths Premier and this season, we are thrilled to make a return to senior football with our Sunday Premier 1 side. We are also delighted to see the continuing growth of our Girls underage section.

We are proud of the fact that we are able to run Rathcoole FC on an entirely voluntary basis. This is all thanks to the volunteering spirit and countless hours put in by everyone connected with our great Club.
